Fill this in and someone will come back to you. Photos of the building from the street, the back yard and the side access answer most questions before they are asked.

What helps with a quote
- The address or suburb. The overlays are checked from it, and a character area, a heritage listing or flood-prone land changes the paperwork.
- What the building is. A high-set timber Queenslander, a post-war fibro, a brick house, a shed, a pool, a slab. If you do not know what the walls are made of, a close photo tells us.
- Roughly when it was built. Anything before 1990 is assumed to have asbestos somewhere until a sample says otherwise.
- Access. Whether a machine can get down the side, and how wide the gap is.
- What you want left. A bare level block, the slab kept, the shed kept, the trees kept.
- Photos. The building from the street, the back yard, the side access, and anything under the house you can reach.
- Any paperwork. An old building approval, a pest report, an asbestos register, an insurer's letter.
- The date. A builder's start, a settlement, or a council or insurer deadline.

If it is urgent
A building that has partly collapsed, a structure made unsafe by storm or flood, or asbestos that has been broken and exposed is a different kind of job. If anyone is in danger, call 000. If the building is unsafe but nobody is at risk, keep people out of it, tell your insurer, and know that emergency demolition of an asbestos-containing structure must be notified to Workplace Health and Safety Queensland on 1300 362 128 before it starts.
What this site cannot help with
Nobody here can issue a building approval, tell you over the phone whether the fibro on your house contains asbestos, or decide a planning application. For a planning question, Bundaberg Regional Council is on 1300 883 699. For a licensed builder for the work that follows the demolition, search the QBCC licensee register.
